I went to our local chess club last night and got absolutely spanked by a lady who only comes so her kids can play with other kids. Chess in real life is very different from email chess. I definitely like the luxury of only thinking about it in idle moments! I think it's even easier to visualize the board with the top down view. Plus, there is nobody across from you looking board while you think.
